詞源[编辑]
本詞和aizto (“刀”), aitzur (“鋤”), aizkora (“斧”)的關係可能上至新石器時代，指這些工具是由石頭做成，[1][2]但Trask否定這種觀點，因為Roncalese 方言中 ai(n)zto 和 ai(n)tzur有鼻音但 haitz沒有。[3] (aizkora 可能借自拉丁語)
